Massive traffic jam on J.C. Road, K.G. Road, Silver Jublee Park Road and surrouinding areas as a result of Rally by Congress party and Breakthrough Science Society from Town Hall to Freedom Park on Wednesday.

Traffic movement in the Central Business District was disrupted after Congress party workers took out a rally from Town Hall towards Freedom Park to mark the 75 anniversary of Quit India Movement.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) activists staged a protest in front of SBI bank on St. Marks Road demanding removal of Hindi signage and compulsory use of Kannada language in public sector banks. The protesters shouted slogans and demanded that the government provide job opportunities to locals.

The police had a tough time managing traffic as it was peak hour.
