It was a nightmarish Saturday morning for commuters stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic on Mysore Road, owing to the annual Pallakki Utsava at Gali Anjaneya Swamy temple.

The Byatarayanapura traffic police said that traffic between Hosaguddadahalli and KIMCO junctions has been blocked and vehicles coming towards the city and moving out have been diverted from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. till Sunday. They added that the worst affected are the buses from Satellite Bus Station. Vehicles coming from Sirsi Circle have been directed to take a left turn at Hosaguddadahalli and pass through Timber Yard, Muneshwara Block, and Hosakerehalli to reach the Ring Road. Heavy vehicles coming towards the city must take a left turn at Mysore Road-Ring Road junction to enter the city. Other vehicles coming towards the city should take a left turn at KIMCO junction and proceed further, an official release said.
