Three-day national meet at SIT

A three-day national conference on “Sharing Innovative Ideas and Achievements of Centres of Excellence” will be held from April 21 to 23 at Siddaganga Institute of Technology in the city.

The conference will be inaugurated by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and Higher Education T.B. Jayachandra at the Media Centre on the SIT premises.

R. Subramanyan, Additional Secretary (Technical Education), Ministry of Human Resource Development; Bharat Lal Meena, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Karnataka Government; Tripti Gurha, Director (IITs), MHRD;; and H.U. Talawar, Director of Technical Education, Karnataka Government, will be the guests of honour. M.N. Channabasappa, Director, SIT, Tumkur, will preside over the function.

Participation

Delegates from 30 CoEs (Centers of Excellence), officials of NPIU (National Project Implementation Unit) and State SPFUs (State Project Facilitation Unit) along with mentors of TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) colleges of Karnataka are participating in the conference.

G.D. Yadav, Vice-Chancellor, ICT, Mumbai, will deliver a talk on “How to create CoEs?” and C.P. Ramanarayanan of DRDO, Ministry of Defence, will deliver a talk on “Synergising various CoEs as force multiplier”.
