Three women allegedly committed suicide in different incidents since Tuesday.

Kalpana Patel (26), a resident of Kalkere near Rammurthynagar, hanged herself from a ceiling fan at her residence on Tuesday. According to the police, Kalpana, who hails from Gujarat, had left behind a death note which said, “Pardon me”. Kalpana was living in the Kalkere house since two years with her husband Sanjay Patel and the couple have an 18-month-old baby . The police are questioning her husband to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step.

Usha Kalyani (37), a resident of NGEF Layout, hanged herself at her residence in Kasturi Nagar on Tuesday night. According to the police, Usha took the extreme step as she did not get married and was suffering from depression. The police suspect this could be the reason behind the extreme step.

Karpagam (20), a newly married woman, hung herself on Wednesday when she was alone at her residence in Kurubarahalli, Mahalakshmi Layout . She was married to Kamal, a labourer two months ago.

Frequent fights

According to the police, Karpagam was disturbed about the frequent fights with her husband and this could be the reason behind the extreme step, which she allegedly took after one such quarrel with her husband on Tuesday.
