The Bangalore South Division police are questioning three suspects in connection with the alleged rape of a 25-year-old software engineer in Electronics City on Friday.

While the victim was sleeping, the culprit gained entry into her paying guest accommodation using the key left by her roommate near the window. She woke up and noticed someone trying to steal from the room. The culprit overpowered her and raped her before fleeing.

Based on the physical description given by the woman, police rounded up a few habitual offenders for questioning.

The suspects include a man who was involved in robbery and attempt to rape cases. He had been arrested some time ago and released on bail.
