Three labourers killed in hit and run

Three labourers — all migrants from Assam — were killed on the spot and another seriously injured when an unidentified vehicle knocked them down near the Jigani industrial area on the city’s outskirts on Thursday night. Deepak, (25), Putul, (25) and Jeetu (25), all working in a granite factory in Jigani, died while Fakira, (25) has been admitted to a private hospital, where he is said to be out of danger.

The Jigani police said the four were were going to a shop to buy groceries to prepare dinner after work.
