Three held for robbing, assaulting SI

The Bangalore Central Division police have arrested three associates of rowdy Vedi on charges of assaulting and robbing a Police Sub-Inspector and his friend at gun-point in Richmond Town on July 20.

The accused have been identified as Karthik, Goutham and Vasudev. The police have also recovered a country-made pistol and a dagger used to commit the crime.

According to the police the trio intercepted sub-inspector Girish and his banker friend Haridas while they were chatting in a parked car on Rheneus Street after dinner late in the night. After robbing them at gun point, the trio allegedly beat up Girish and stabbed Haridas when they tried to resist them.

Police said they managed to nab the accused and book them for attempt to murder and robbery based on the evidence collected from the cctv footage.
