Three foreign nationals held for peddling drugs

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials, on Monday, caught three foreign nationals and recovered six grams of cocaine, seven mobile phones and two passports from them.

The accused have been identified as Anthony Egwoha (24) from Nigeria, Owen Penhaligam (37) from Britain, and Israel Manual (28) from Mozambique. The accused were caught along with the drugs, while they were waiting for their clients at NGEF Layout in Byappanahalli.

The CCB officials said the accused did not have valid travel documents and hda used fake documents to avail SIM cards that they were using to peddle drugs in the city.

The trio have been taken into custody and CCB officials are trying to ascertain their criminal background.
