The Hindu Young World Painting Competition is back. The finals in Bangalore will take place on Sunday at the Army Public School, K. Kamaraj Road, Shivajinagar, 9 a.m. onwards.
A popular event that attracts talented youngsters, this year’s edition is happening in 15 cities across south India.
The competition is open to students from class 4 to 7 in the junior category and class 8 to 10 in the senior category. Participants for the finals have been selected from entries that were received in the past few weeks.
Selected participants are advised to carry the intimation letter with them to the venue.
Topics will be given on the spot, giving participants an opportunity to showcase their talent. The winners will go home with certificates from The Hindu .
The Hindu Young World Painting Competition is an integral part of The Hindu ’s NIE programme. The competition provides an opportunity to young students, encouraging them to display their talents and promotes healthy competition among schools.
M.J. Kamalakshi, former secretary of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, will be the chief guest.

Registration The selected participants are expected to assemble at the venue before 8.30 a.m. for registration.
