The Hindu EducationPlus counselling at KGF tomorrow

The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling session will be held at the T. Thimmaiah Seminar Hall on the premises of T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology at Urgaum, Kolar Gold Fields, on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The programme is organised by The Hindu EducationPlus for the benefit of students who have passed second year pre-university examination. It will help them choose the right course of education.

Students from different streams and their parents can participate in the programme and get information about the various opportunities available in engineering, agriculture, medicine, Science, Arts and Commerce degree courses. Deputy Commissioner D.K. Ravi will inaugurate the programme.

M. Vijayendra, Head of Department, Crop Production and Sericulture, College of Sericulture, Kurbur, Chintamani, will impart information about the opportunities available in the field of agricultural science.

Syed Arif, principal, T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, KGF, and M.S. Govinde Gowda, principal, C. Byregowda Institute of Technology, Kolar, will speak on engineering education. Aleesha Ahmad will deliver a talk on general education.

Officials from Karnataka Examination Authority and Common Entrance Test Cell will give guidance students and parents during the session.

Global Valley Education Trust chairman T. Thimmaiah will participate.

Free transportation

Associate sponsor T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology is providing free transportation facility to the participants. The college buses will pick up students and parents at these points at 8 a.m. on Saturday: Kolar — Domelight Circle, Bangarpet Circle, KSRTC Bus Stand and Old Bus Stand; Malur — KSRTC Bus Stand; Mulbagal — KSRTC Bus Stand; and Chintamani — KSRTC Bus Stand.

In Tumkur

Tumkur Staff Correspondent reports:

The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling session will be held at the MBA Seminar Hall on the premises of the Sidddaganga Institute of Technology in Tumkur on June 1, at 10 a.m.

The programme will be inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of Tumkur University A.H. Rajasab.

Sujith, Programme Co-ordinator, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Konehalli, Tiptur taluk in Tumkur district, will give information on agricultural and Veterinary Sciences.

Rudramurthy M.S., Associate Professor, Department of Information Science, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur, will provide information on engineering courses.

Shalini M., Professor and Head of Department of Medicine, Shridevi Medical College and Research Institute, Tumkur, will speak on medical sciences.

Ms. Aleesha Ahmed will give information on degree courses in Arts, Science and Commerce streams.

CET Cell Co-ordinator Anandaraju A will speak on online counselling and seat sharing.
