Ten-year jail term for rapist

The Seond District and Sessions Court here has convicted a rape and sentenced him 10 years imprisonment, besides slapping a ₹10,000 fine.

Judge B.S. Rekha pronounced the judgement against Prabhakar alias Prabhu. Prabhu, a resident of Nernahalli in Bangarpet taluk, kidnapped a girl of the same village on February 11 and sexually assaulted her.

The Bangarpet police arrested him and had filed a charge sheet in the case.
