A 30-year-old software engineer was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Infosys guest house in Electronics City on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Swapnil Malpani, a native of Pune. Malpani was working as a software engineer with Infosys. He was staying in the campus guest house allotted for employees. On Wednesday, around 8 a.m., he was found unconscious in the bathroom. His colleagues informed the company administration, who rushed him to Narayana Hrudayalaya, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Malpani had complained to his colleagues that he was feeling uneasy and went to the bathroom. His colleagues thought that he might have gone to the toilet. His friends later left for work.
Since Malpani did not turn up in the office even after one hour, they started calling him. When there was no response from his side, they informed the administrators. “He had even locked the main door from inside. They opened the lock from the spare keys to find him unconscious,” police said.
The doctors suspected that cardiac arrest could be the reason for his death.
A 38-year-old man fell to his death from the balcony of his first floor house in Cholanayakanahalli road in Bhoopasandra on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Ankur Agarwal, a businessman hailing from Bihar. According to the police, Ankur came home late on Tuesday and was talking on the phone while sitting on the parapet wall of the balcony. Police suspect that he might have accidentally dosed off or slipped.
Passers-by noticed him lying on the roadside in a pool of blood and then immediately called the ambulance.
