A engineer died while his friend, who was riding pillion, sustained injuries when they fell off their motorcycle on Old Airport Road in the early hours of Friday. The deceased Sashivardhan Reddy (27) lived in Munenakolalu, and hailed from Mahabubnagar in Andhra Pradesh. His friend Santosh Kumar (29), from Hyderabad, is out of danger, the police said. Sashivardhan, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained severe head injuries. Passers-by rushed the duo to a nearby hospital where Sashivardhan was declared brought dead.
