A 29-year-old software professional committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his room at his flat in sector 6 of HSR Layout on Friday. Police said that he left a note which read that he was depressed and no one is responsible for his death.

The deceased, identified as Vamshi Goutham, hailed from Tamil Nadu. He was residing alone in a rented flat for the past two years.

According to the police, Vamshi hanged himself from the ceiling around 2 a.m. The incident came to light when his relatives who were trying to get in touch with him over the phone couldn’t reach him. They informed the police who rushed to the spot and with the help of neighbours broke open the door of the flat only to find him hanging.
