This week, Microsoft India Global Technical Support Centre (GTSC) hosted the Architects of Excellence (ACE) Awards to recognise the outstanding contribution of employees in the company.
The awards ceremony was held along with Colours of GTSC, the vibrant talent night the company hosts every year. With over 12 performances, the evening was a perfect platform for employees to showcase their many talents and provide wholesome entertainment. A few of the highlights were a creative version of ‘Kolaveri di' by the Leadership Team, a mass karaoke which livened up the mood with the crowd singing along to popular tunes and the recent must-have at an event, a flash mob.
Award for ChariTra
ChariTra, an on-demand network created by SAP Labs, was awarded the IAMAI-India Digital Awards 2012 in the category of ‘Best use of the Internet for economic and social development'. ChariTra connects volunteers, non-profits and corporations to work together for causes and make a difference in communities, a release from the SAP Labs said.
An abbreviation for Charity Transformation, ChariTra was designed and released by the SAP Labs team in India within 90 days and demonstrates SAP's commitment to rapidly build innovative solutions that serve the needs of customers.
New R&D centre in Bangalore
Ruckus Wireless, a wireless networking company, announced the opening of a new research and development centre in Bangalore. The new Bangalore operations will be the company's first development centre in India.
Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Ruckus Wireless is a supplier of advanced wireless systems. By tapping into a pool of skilled engineering talent, Ruckus's new R&D centre in Bangalore will significantly boost the company's capabilities to develop new technologies to serve the mobile Internet infrastructure market worldwide, a release from the company stated.
IT and outsourcing major Wipro Technologies announced the launch of Wipro SprintHR, a cloud-based technology offering used to deploy Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management. It is available as a SaaS (software as a service) model and is designed to help enable enterprise customers transform their HR processes. Leveraging its strong relationship with Oracle and co-development experience on Oracle Fusion Applications, Wipro SprintHR helps significantly reduce cost and deployment timelines, a release from Wipro stated.
