The encroachment clearing on rajakaluves and cleaning of tanks to fill them under Koramangala-Challaghatta Valley project has been taken up on a war footing. It will be completed in two months, said Deputy Commissioner K.V. Thrilokchandra.

He was speaking to reporters after inspecting works at Byrandahalli-Agrahara rajakaluve, S. Agrahara and Holali tanks on Thursday.

Repair of rajakaluves is necessary for the flow of water to the tanks, he said. So far, encroachments on rajakaluves to the extent of 44 km have been cleared, he said. He added that 121 tanks will be supplied water under the K-C Valley project.
