SWR collects Rs. 1.21 lakh fine

As many as 380 defaulters were booked and a fine of Rs. 1.21 lakh was collected during the ticket checking drive conducted by railway personnel here on Monday at Kranti Vira Sangolli Rayana station.

According to a release, 309 defaulters were booked for travelling without tickets and a fine of Rs. 1,01,510 was collected. Besides Rs. 5,500 was collected as fine for unbooked luggage from 51 cases, and Rs. 14,000 was collected as fine from irregular tickets from 20 cases.

The drive was led by N.S. Sridharamurthy, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Bengaluru Division, South Western Railway, the release stated.
