Surprise visit by Health Minister

Minister for Health and Family Welfare K.R. Ramesh Kumar paid a surprise visit to the Tumakuru district government hospital on Thursday afternoon. He asked the District Health Officer, Dr. Shashikala, whether she has submitted the report regarding staff shortage to the State government after she complained about staff shortage.

He said the patients should feel happy while going home from the hospital and should not say that they were in hell. He said that the number of beds in the PICU (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit) will be increased from two to 10, the number of dialysis machines will be increased to 15 and other issues will be addressed.

Deputy Commissioner K.P. Mohan Raj, District Surgeon Dr. Eshwaraiah and others were present.
