Two students from Sudan were killed on the spot when their motorcycle rammed into a goods vehicle on Kasturinagar flyover in K.R. Puram on Saturday morning.

Ironically, they were returning home after visiting a friend, who had met with an accident just an hour earlier.

Abdul Rehman Mubarak, a pharmacy student, was driving and his friend Awap Khalifa, a commerce student, was riding pillion. Both were students of Acharya College in Hesaraghatta.

On Saturday morning, they received news that their friend had met with an accident near Tin Factory around 5.30 a.m. The two immediately left to meet their friend, who has a fractured spine, at a hospital in Hennur. While returning from the hospital around 6.45 a.m., they met with the accident, said the police, adding that both were not wearing helmets. “They were heading towards Rammurthynagar when their two-wheeler rammed into a truck, which was also heading to Rammurthynagar from the rear on Kasturinagar flyover,” said an official.
