Students had a tough time registering for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) phase II when the portal opened on Thursday. They had trouble submitting their application form due to an error on the site.
Many city-based students registered as they wanted to get a seat in a private medical college. The test will be held on July 24.
The CBSE on Wednesday made it clear that private medical colleges will come under the ambit of NEET while the State governments had the option to either conduct its own exam or go for NEET to fill undergraduate seats.
Many students are adopting the wait-and-watch approach and plan to register after their CET scores are announced.
“With COMEDK cancelled, I do not want to pin my hopes on CET and hence signed up for NEET,” said Pooja S.
Various undertakings
Students had to submit various undertakings that they were submitting their application in consultation with their parents and that they are fully aware of the consequences.
