Student dupes family with promise of medical seat

The Cubbon Park police have arrested a Bachelor of Business Management student for cheating a family of Rs 19 lakh, promising them a medical seat.

According to the police, the accused Vikas along with two of his associates posed as touts and lured the family with the promise of a medical seat for Rs 30 lakh. He took Rs 19 lakh as advance.

The family approached the police when they realised they had been duped. Based on the complaint the Cubbon park police arrested Vikas, a native of Bihar studying in a city based college, and recovered the money. They are looking for two more accused who are on the run.
