Transport Minister R. Ramalinga Reddy has said the department will consider having small cinemas at all future bus terminals.

Speaking at the Children’s India International Children’s Film Festival (CIICFF) here on Friday, Mr. Reddy, who is also Bangalore in-charge Minister, said the move would encourage films and also bring in revenue to the Transport Department.

This proposal was made by filmmaker S.V. Rajendra Singh Babu.

More resources

Festival director N.R. Nanjunde Gowda said the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy should shun its “step-motherly attitude” towards children’s films and devote more resources to it.

Filmmaker Bhagwan said the government should encourage screenings of children’s films.

The best children’s films were presented awards at the film festival.
