A massive fire broke out at Stumpp Schuele & Somappa Springs Pvt. Ltd. on the busy Hosur Road situated in Madiwala late on Saturday night due to electrical short-circuit.
Materials valued in lakhs were gutted but no casualties have been reported.
According to the fire tenders, the fire broke out in a spring manufacturing outlet around 9.40 p.m., which soon spread in the entire factory. Around 13 fire tenders were immediately pressed into the service. Electrical gadgets, spring materials and furniture stored in the basement aggravated the fire.
“Two water boozers and two tankers along with fire personnel rushed to the spot to extinguish the fire. After almost nine hours, fire fighters completely put out the fire,’ said a fire official.
