October 01, 2010 03:24 pm | Updated 03:24 pm IST - BANGALORE:

The B.V. Girish murder case will come up for hearing before another specially constituted Bench of the Karnataka High Court on Friday.

A Special Bench of Justice N. Ananda and Justice A.S. Pacchapure will commence hearing on appeals by Shubha, and three others, all convicted by a Bangalore court for murder on December 2, 2003 of Girish, a software engineer with Intel, who was Shubha's fiancé.

While Shubha and the other accused have filed appeals in the High Court against a lower court order sentencing them to life imprisonment, the State has filed appeals seeking enhancement of the sentence.

The case was being heard by a Bench of Justice K. Sreedar Rao and Justice B.V. Pinto. However, it recused itself after anonymous pamphlets were circulated in the High Court levelling allegations against it.
