Software engineer throws himself in front of train

N. Somnath (30), a software engineer, reportedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Kengeri on Monday.

Somnath was working with TCS and was staying with his parents, both retired government employees, in Gowdanapalya, near Padmanabhanagar.

Somnath left home on Sunday night leaving his mobile phone behind and did not return even on Monday. While his anxious parents were trying to trace him, they received a call from the police informing them about the death of their son.

The Bangalore City Railway Police found a suicide note that stated that no one was responsible for his death.

The body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.

A case has been registered.
