Six two-wheelers parked in the basement of Ganga Metal Box Industry, a small scale industry, was gutted due to an accidental fire. The incident took place in Siddapura late on Thursday night.

The motorcycles belonged to the staff members of the industry. Some employees noticed the smoke from the cellar parking and alerted fire and emergency services.

Two fire tenders rushed to spot and put out the fire before it could spread to other parts of the industry. Electric short-circuit may have led to the mishap, the police said.
