Block Education Officer (BEO) of North 3, Ramesh, has been served a show-cause notice for not mentioning in his report that the school in Kasturinagar, where a three-year-old child was allegedly sexually abused, was running classes six to nine without obtaining permission.

Following the report in The Hindu , Commissioner for Public Instruction Mohammad Mohsin said the BEO has been asked for an explanation but he is yet to reply.

The Hindu had reported how the BEO’s report had mentioned that the school had only pre-primary and classes one to five even though the management had admitted that it ran classes till grade nine.
