Perhaps for the first time here, fire tenders, aerial ladder platforms and firemen rallied through the heart of the city on Monday to showcase the strength and security feature of the State Fire Department.
Organised in association with Beyond Carlton, the rally – from M.G. Road to Ulsoor – was held on the occasion of ‘Fire Prevention Week’ that concluded on Monday.
“It gave an opportunity for citizens to see what the local fire force was doing, and raise awareness on fire safety,” said Uday Vijayan from Beyond Carlton.
