Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has given the green signal to Mayor D. Venkatesh Murthy to present the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s 2013-14 budget by the end of this month. A delegation led by Mr. Murthy met Mr. Shettar to brief him about the meeting with Union Ministers in New Delhi. Sources said that Mr. Shettar directed the Mayor to present a realistic budget soon. “He has cautioned us against inflating the outlay just because the Assembly elections are round the corner,” said a councillor who was present at the meeting.
