Seat blocking scam: Raid at COMED-K office

Continuing its investigations into the seat blocking scam, CCB officials raided COMED-K office in Malleshwaram and seized documents relating to the scam.

A team led by DCP Abhishek Goel, raided the office in Malleshwaram and seized documents pertaining to seat allotment. The investigations so far pointed to the involvement of private colleges with the touts to block seats using meritorious students hailing from poor families..

Apparently the seats were sold under the management quota for anywhere between Rs 50 lakhs and Rs. 1 crore.

The police have arrested 35 persons in this connection, including two main touts who s >pilled the nexus of COMED-K members .
