Schoolgirl gangraped on Bangalore’s outskirts

A 15-year-old high school student was allegedly abducted and gangraped by a group of 10 youth in Kannamangala village on the outskirts of the City on Sunday.

The incident came to light on Monday morning when some villagers noticed the victim lying in an unconscious state in an isolated place in the area. They immediately rushed her to hospital.

The Nelamangala police, based on information provided by her, rounded up 10 suspects for questioning.

According to the police, the girl was returning home from an orchestra in her village. The accused, who followed her at some distance, forcibly took her to an isolated place where they allegedly raped her.

The police subjected the victim for medical examination and are awaiting the medical report.
