School shifted, parents worried

Parents of 11 children allotted seats under the RTE quota in a school in Whitefield are a worried lot as the school management has shifted the school to Bellandur. One of the parents said: “The school was functional until the last academic year. How can they suddenly claim to have shifted just to refuse us a seat? Education Department officials are now telling that we have to wait for the second round and we may be allotted seats.” Commissioner for Public Instruction V. Ponnuraj has urged the parents to provide details and said that the case would be examined.
