The Old Airport Road Traffic Police arrested a school bus driver on Marathahalli Main Road on Friday evening for ferrying 32 children while allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

The driver, Shahaji Mule, was caught by an alert traffic police who noticed that the bus was being driven in a rash and negligent manner.

The police arranged another vehicle to drop the children in their homes.

This is the third such incident in a span of one week.

On June 6, Mico Layout police had arrested a driver near J.P. Nagar; there were 17 children in the bus.

On June 5, the Wilson Garden traffic police arrested a driver during a routine enforcement drive near B.T.M. Layout.
