Several schoolchildren had a narrow escape on Monday morning when the school bus in which they travelling collided with a motorcycle and a truck near Ragihalli gate on Anekal main road.

Five children sustained minor injuries, while the remaining escaped unhurt.

Soon after the accident, the bus driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot, leaving the children in the lurch. Passers-by rushed to the help of children.

Nagaraj, an eyewitness, said that the vehicle was being driven in a rash and negligent manner. The vehicle first rammed a motorcycle and then collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

Traffic on the busy road disrupted for sometime.

Parents, who were informed by the passers-by, rushed to the spot to take their children home.
