RTE: school logins fail

February 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:31 am IST - Bengaluru:

Though the Department of Public Instruction has asked schools to fill online application for RTE quota seats, parents are being made to run from pillar to post as the schools logins are not opening on the portal.

While many private school managements are reluctant to upload the applications on behalf of parents who submit them manually, institutions that are willing to do it are also not in a position to do so as the school login is not opening.

According to Jayprakash of Shri Shyla Vidya Samste in Hosakerehalli, they received three manual applications and were unable to upload them. Nilofer, who wanted to apply for a seat for her niece, said the school had asked her to go back with the application on Monday as the login was not opening.

Sources in the department said that the school portal would be opened shortly.
