A notorious rowdy sheeter was bludgeoned to death in Kadabagere, Madanayakanahalli on Sunday night.

The incident came to light on Monday morning when passersby noticed the body and alerted the police. The deceased was later identified as Manjunath alias Bhavani, 32.

Manjunath had at least 18 cases pending against him with the Madanayakanahalli police station including charges of murder, attempt to murder and dacoity.

His body was found in a friend’s shed, where he was reportedly having a party on Sunday night. The police suspect that the murder may have been a result of a drunken brawl or an attack by a rival gang.

The police are trying to identify others who were at the shed on Sunday night with him. The Madanayakanahalli police have registered a case of murder.
