Robbers take locker weighing 25 kg., but find only a 100 rupee note inside

Assuming that a treasure of gold and silver was locked inside a locker, robbers took away the locker weighing 25kg after breaking into the house of businessman and assaulting two employees. However, when they opened the locker, they found only a Rs. 100 note!

The robbers broke into the house of Ashok Bhatia, located on Millers Road, on February 20 at 3 a.m. As they entered the house, they assaulted Hitesh Sharma and Yogesh, both employees of Bhatia. They tied them up and started searching for valuables.

They spotted a huge locker in a room. They tried to break it open, but failed. They decided to take the locker with them. To transport the locker, they used Bhatia's car, which was parked outside the house.

Local police said that the robbers managed to break it open, but found only Rs. 100 inside.

J.C. Nagar police have arrested Byrasandra resident Kiran Rukkayya, 37, Halasuru resident Lokendra, 27, Bharatinagar resident Bhanu Khatri, 20, J.C. Nagar resident Mani Bandari, 42, Vishnugiri, 27, Deepak Raj, 28, and Mohammed Ayaan in connection with the robbery. They are on the lookout for four other suspects.

The police have seized a car, mobile phones and weapons used during the robbery.
