Rights panel orders probe into 13-year-old’s plight

State Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu action against staff of the children’s home on Hosur Road

The State Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu action against the staff of the children’s home on Hosur Road where a 13-year-old boy was beaten up for trying to escape.

SHRC member C.G. Hungund directed the director of Women and Child Development Department to conduct a probe, take strict action against the culprit and submit an action taken report within four weeks.
