Officials of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) have filed a complaint with the Tilak Nagar police on Monday accusing Bethal College staff of forging mark sheets.

The complaint came after the college filed a complaint against eight unidentified persons, including three women, who came to the college claiming to be part of an inspection team from RGUHS and allegedly left with over ₹50 lakh along with some documents, including students’ mark sheets. An FIR was registered by Bethal College staff at Nadini Layout police station on March 7. The college is situated in Preeti Nagara in Laggere, police said.

The police have concluded that the eight persons were indeed from the RGUHS, but whether they had taken money from a cupboard, as alleged by college authorities, is a matter of investigation.

The police have taken up both the cases.
