A 28-year old employee of a restaurant in Seshadripuram was allegedly stabbed to death late Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh, who would make coffee in the Shanti Sagar restaurant.

On Wednesday night, his friends had come to the restaurant and were talking when a group of men came towards them and began asking them questions. Ramesh's friends have told the Seshadripuram police that the other group was allegedly inebriated.

Shortly, a clash ensued between the two groups which turned violent. In the midst of the quarrel, one of the inebriated men stabbed Ramesh with a knife. Ramesh was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to injuries.
