Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court on Friday refused to direct the Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Gujarat, not to submit its reports of narco analysis conducted on Fr. Patric Xavier, complainant-cum-accused, and others in the murder case 62-year-old rector of the St. Peter's Pontifical Seminary in Bangalore, Fr K.J. Thomas. The murder was reported on the night of April 1.
Justice A.S. Bopanna said he cannot grant an interim plea in this regard sought by Fr. Xavier, his father, two brothers and a sister in their petition seeking a direction from the court to hand over the investigation of the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
It has been contended in the petition that narco analysis and other polygraph and brain mapping were conducted on Fr. Xavier without his voluntary consent as per the guidelines given by the Supreme Court.
