A gang of four hacked to death a real estate broker in broad daylight around noon in Banashankari 2nd Stage on Saturday.
Srinivas (30) was killed in front of the Sevakshetra Hospital near the BDA Complex in what Banashankari police said was the fallout of a property dispute. He was attacked by the armed gang, which came in an autorickshaw, when he was on his motorcycle on his way to his mother’s house near the BDA Park in the same area. The attack left him with grievous injuries and the local traffic police and the public took him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. He is survived by wife and three-year-old daughter.
The assailants, who fled, left behind the autorickshaw in which the police found the murder weapons such as machetes and sickles.
Srinivas’s family said he had been involved in a court case involving 20 acres in Anekal. The police also said that he had an ongoing rivalry with Sridhar, who has a case registered against him in Anekal police station.
