For a quick appetiser, visit SLN Chaat, owned by K.R. Krishnamurthy. It is tucked away, off the main road, on 8th Cross.

The menu consists of bhel puri, pani puri, dahi puri, and a sundry other offerings with the ubiquitous puri in them, and costing anywhere between Rs. 15 and Rs. 30.

The best part about SLN Chaat is that you could have a two-course meal here. First enjoy a small dish such as the pani puri, then progress to the full-blooded bhel (SLN serves several variations of the dish, such as pineapple bhel). The shop’s clientele usually comes over in the evenings. Despite there being scant space to sit, and no signboard over the shop, the 12-year-old establishment serves some quality snacks.
