Protests against the management of the private school at Jeevanbimanagar, where a six-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a teacher, continued on Saturday.
Scores of activists, who are protesting under banners of various associations, are demanding the arrest of members in the school management.
Meanwhile, the Jeevanbimanagar police are questioning the school management at the police station.
On Friday, school teacher Jaishankar, the suspect in the rape case, was remanded in police custody for four days. Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi, who visited the school, claimed that Jaishankar had confessed to the crime.
The director, principal, vice principal and a few teachers of the private school are all being questioned at the station. However, the police clarified that it is not for criminal culpability but only to gather information about Jaishankar and his behavior at school.
Police confirmed that Jaishankar had been subjected to a medical exam at CV Raman hospital on Saturday.
The child will be taken to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences where she will be asked to identify the perpetrator again from a set of photographs in front of a counsellor, the police said.
