The act of culling stray dogs in Kerala reverberated in Bengaluru with numerous people staging a protest against the “brutal act”, here on Sunday.

The protest was part of the ‘Worldwide Boycott Kerala Movement 2015’, a pledge to boycott all products of the State until the culling was stopped.

Animal rights activists here came together at Freedom Park, holding banners against the Kerala government. Instead of culling, the protesters said, implementing CNVR (collect, neuter, vaccinate and return) technique would help keep stray dog numbers under check.
