A woman riding pillion was killed on the spot and the rider injured when both slipped from the scooter while trying to negotiate a bad road at the Nayandahalli junction. According to the police, Radha was crushed under the wheels of a truck. The rider Ravi Kumar sustained injuries and was shifted to a private hospital. The duo was heading towards Kengeri.

The ongoing Metro construction work and heavy rains have turned the stretch unmotorable. The Byatarayanapura traffic police visited the spot and seized the truck. They are on the look-out for the driver who is absconding.
