Police take 11th blast suspect into custody

The Central Crime Branch picked up the 11th suspect in connection with the April 17 Malleswaram bomb blast case, from Madurai prison on Saturday.

Shaleen (35) was picked up by the police along with Kitchen Buhari on April 22 and let off the next day.

He was then picked up by the Tamil Nadu police in connection with the attack on a local BJP worker and handed over to the Nesarmani police in Nagercoil town where he was remanded in judicial custody and lodged in the Madurai prison. On Saturday, a team of police picked him up to question his role in the blast. Shaleen was brought to Bangalore and produced before the 1st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate and taken into 14 days’ custody. The police also produced Kitchen Buhari and Basheer and got four days’ custody.
