Police nab drug peddlers

The Madiwala police have nabbed three drug peddlers from Mumbai and recovered 85 grams of Methamphetamine, popularly known as Meth, worth Rs 2.12 lakh from them.

Meth is a synthetic (man-made) chemical drug.

Based on a tip-off, a team of police caught the trio waiting for their client by the road-side on Wednesday.

The accused, identified as Naddem Saleem (26), Mohammed Arif (28) and Syed Inayath (26), are originally from Mumbai and had come to deliver the consignment to their clients, comprising mostly of students and IT employees, the police said.

The police have seized the drugs and a mobile phone along with a pocket-size electronic scale, which was used to weigh drugs. The accused charged Rs. 2,500 per grams of Meth.
