Police Inspector, two beat constables suspended for taking bribe

City Police Commissioner M.N.Reddi has suspended the Police Inspector and two constables of Madiwala station for demanding and accepting a bribe from a couple.

The couple was returning home from dinner on Wednesday night and were threatened by the beat constables. They posted a complaint on the Facebook page of the Bangalore City Police based on which Mr Reddi directed DCP Rohini Sepat to conduct an enquiry.

The enquiry found the beat constables forcing the youth to pay up.

While beat constables Sridhar and Narasimha were suspended and cases booked against them, Prashanth, Inspector, was suspended for negligence.
