Police inspector sacked

A Karnataka police inspector attached to the VVIP security wing was dismissed from service for alleged dereliction of duty leading to encroachment of police land here in 2005.

Police said H.T. Jayaramaiah was dismissed for inaction against encroachment of police land for monetary considerations when he was posted at Nandini Layout police station four years ago.

A woman Police Inspector in Basavanagudi police station, Satyavathi, was suspended for dereliction of duty in a dowry harassment case which resulted in the accused securing anticipatory bail.
